Needle-up timer resets without end

Just installed 15.2.3 and encountered an issue I've not seen before. At the end of side 1, the needle-up timer begins with the default countdown of 20. My turntable automatically lifts the tonearm and returns it to rest. The timer reaches 18 or 17, and then resets to 20. It then counts down to 18 or 17 again, and resets again. This process--counting down a few seconds and then resetting to 20--continues until I press Stop. (I let it go for about 8 repetitions.)

I was able to continue recording side 2 by manually selecting it. This is my first (and only so far) recording with the latest version so I can't yet say if the problem is repeatable.

As far as I know, I've done nothing different with this recording than what I've done dozens of times before. User error (if so, what) or bug? Happy to do a bit of work to help diagnose if somebody can suggest what to do without (I hope) having to record side 1 all over again.

Hi,

Try experimenting with the settings.  It sounds like your phono preamp might be a bit noisy, and is therefore resetting the timer.

Is there a particular setting you think might be worth tweaking? (And FWIW I didn't encounter this issue in prior VS versions, so it seems it's unlikely to be the preamp, but anything's possible.)

Hi,

Try increasing the Needle Up Threshold.  That should fix it.
