Potential Corrupted Files??

When I use VinylStudio, I rip albums on my Mac and when it is fully completed, I use the batch transfer to move the completed albums from my Mac to my Synology Network Attached Storage (NAS). I was in the process of moving an album back from my NAS to my Mac, but needed to abort the transfer midstream. It appears that I have corrupted the file. I attached what I now see when using Finder.

I have a backup, but it is a few weeks out of date and would far prefer to restore this file if at all possible.

When you say 'abort', how did you do it?  Clicking cancel in VinylStudio shouldn't lead to this situation.

But, having said that, you should be able to rename My Albums - New_$$$ to My Albums - New.mcf to recover the situation.

I abated VinylStudio on my Mac using option, command escape.

Following your advice- I was unable to rename the file as it was grayed out (see VS). My Albums - NEW_$$$ is not grayed out when viewed in Finder (see Finder). I could potentially copy and paste it into VinylStudio, but didn't want to mess with it without seeking guidance.

Yes, rename it in the Finder.  VinylStudio should then be able to open it.

Moral: don't kill VinylStudio in the middle of a critical operation, click 'Cancel' instead.

That didn't work, but I was able to bring back a copy from a few days ago with TimeMachine, so all is good. Thanks!
