Metadata (album & track name) not available in iTunes and Windows Media Player

Greetings,

The album metadata, e.g., album and track names, which I keyboarded through VinylStudio before burning to WAV CD are also viewable in my car CD player.  The metadata is missing when playing on Windows Media Player or importing to iTunes.  (The tracks themselves are playable everywhere.)

Any suggestions to avoid re-entering the album & track names, et al., in iTunes?

TIA

Hi,

Neither Windows Media player nor iTunes read the metadata we put in WAV files unfortunately.  The solution is to save your tracks to another file format; you don't need to re-record to do this.

If you want a lossless format, for iTunes, use AIFF, and for Windows Media Player use WMA lossless.  There's no lossless format that works for both, unfortunately.  The only format that works across the two is MP3.  Sad but true.
