Open the last opened collection

I have three collections that I alternate among when recording. For some reason the same collection opens after restarting Windows (not when restarting VinylStudio only). It is quite annoying when I constantly forget to open the right collection. It means that I have to go through the recordings to see which ones that I have to move to another collection.
Today I encountered another problem and that is the recording already existed in the target collection: and the move didn't succeed. It kept the target album which I am very pleased with.
So I want VinylStudio to open the last used collection every time I start the application, independent if I restart Windows or not.

It does, last time I looked.  Maybe I have missed something in your message.

Well, it doesn't for me. How and where do you store the last used collection?

It stores it in the registry.  Specifically, it stores the name of the .mcf file representing your collection.

What behaviour are you seeing, exactly?

PS: The name of the current collection is displayed in the title bar, maybe that helps.

I discovered the reason why VinylStudio opened with the wrong collection. It had nothing to do with VinylStudio! I have created a workspace with the applications and PowerToys uses a hardcoded path to open VinylStudio with a specific collection and there was the reason: it pointed to the wrong collection. I'm sorry to bother you with this, but maybe other users will do the same mistake as me, and then you know.
