Is it possible to use the Sony PS-HX500 directly with Vinyl Studio or must one use it with Sony's bundled recorder software?
To record DSD? It might, on Windows, with the next version of VinylStudio (due out soon). This version will support recording 'native' DSD via ASIO.
DSD or PCM. I guess I was hoping someone might have tried to use Vinyl Studio with the Sony. The manuals does not explicitly say that the player is not compatible with other programs, but Sony has a history of making things incompatible. If I can not use Vinyl Studio directly with the Sony I'll keep looking for something better.
I imagine that PCM will be OK but DSD may or may not be, once we get our next release out.
