What sort of audio device do you have please? Is it a USB device? And are you on Windows or Macintosh?
If it's a USB device and you're on Windows, please try the following:
1. Click on 'Recording Controls' in VinylStudio's Record window.
2. In the window that opens, ensure that your input device is selected in the list (it's probably called USB Audio CODEC) and then click Properties.
3. Click on the 'Advanced' tab.
4. Set the default recording format to 44 kHz, 16 bit, 2 channels in the dropdown. Then click OK.
Then see if you can record in stereo.
