Title: DSD 128 noise
Post by: marshallno on March 17, 2014, 03:32:57 PM
I'm using a PS Audio NUwave phono preamp to archive my vinyl.  My plan is to do it in DSD format.  When I set the recording to DSD 128 I get a lot of line noise.  When I drop it back down to x64 all the noise goes away.

Also my levels are pretty low with the input set at it's highest - I set the phono stage to the appropriate settings for the cartridge, but should I boost the gain for recording?

Any thoughts?

Hi,

I believe that PS Audio have a fix for this, in the form of a firmware update.  Please contact them direct to get hold of this.
