Title: Delete a whole side
Post by: loeezy on August 18, 2013, 10:47:17 PM
Sorry if this was answered before; I couldn't find it through search:

I have made a mistake on the 2nd side and so I want to re-record that side.  I have just started it over and so the resulting software response is that I now have 3 sides.

My question is: How do I delete the "side 2" of my recordings, that side I made a mistake on; and have the last side (side 3) re-label itself as "side 2"?

Hi,

To do this requires a bit of manual labour.

1.  Select 'Delete Recordings' from the Album menu and delete side 2.

2.  Go to the Preferences window from where you can open a Finder window positioned to the folder containing your 'raw' recordings.

3.  Shut down VinylStudio.

4.  Rename the recording for side 3 to side 2.  Recordings are named by album artist, title and side.

5.  Restart VinylStudio.

6.  Delete side 3.

Sorry it's a bit messy, but it shouldn't take long.
