Title: Recording Fails To Start After Being Asked To Lower Needle...
Post by: Radiohead on January 22, 2013, 09:33:17 PM
It has only automatically started and stopped recording once. Every time since I have had to manually click record, pause and stop. The attractiveness of this software to me was this automatic feature.  Can you tell me how to fix this problem?  Thanks ahead!

Hi,

What is the 'Needle down level' set to please?  I assume audio is reaching the computer.

Needle down level set at "5" originally.  Tried "16", "35" also.

Hi,

5% is the recommended setting, but you might try reducing it.  Is audio reaching the computer?  Specifically, are the recording level indicators moving in time with the music in the Check Level dialog?

Normally, the sound of the needle drop is enough to trigger VinylStudio to start recording.

I changed systems and put it back to 5% and it works beautifully!  I bet my older rig had too much line noise.  Thanks for the timely responses.  I'm happy now!
