Now that the iPads are getting M1 processors, it might be a whole lot more convenient for me to plug my iPad into my Korg A/D and record thereon rather than whacking some unused old out of data Intel Mac mini in there.
I'd only want - I think - to do the recording with the iPad. I'd want to keep and 'edit' my music files on a Mac, far from the Linn.
Any thoughts?

Yes, a few people have asked actually, but it would be a huge amount of work for us - a total rewrite, in fact.
But if all you want to do is record then there are existing solutions for that. In fact, I believe Garage Band will do it, and that's a free download:

Then all you need to do is import those recordings into VinylStudio and off you go.
