Title: Static when trying to record

Hello! I'm currently experiencing static when I try to record. It sounds like I have a scratchy record. I use Windows 10. All my connections appear to be right. It's happening with both cassettes and records. I'm looking for help in resolving this.

Hi,

What type of recording device do you have please?  Also, have you selected the correct Input Device in VinylStudio's Check Level dialog?

Forgive me if I am misunderstanding. I'm using your basic software for recording. As far as I know I have selected the correct Input Device. I don't have many choices. It's normally the default setting. I use the NAD preamp PP4.

I discovered that when I use the test button for sound that I also hear the scratchy sounds.

OK, thanks.  Please try unchecking 'Use WASAPI for Playback' in VinylStudio's Change Playback Device dialog.
