Title: Edit track details bad behaviour
Post by: Steve Crook on May 04, 2020, 07:28:10 PM
I can enter information into the Edit Track dialog then accidentally press 'escape' and have the dialog disappear along with all my unsaved typing. It would be nice if there was an "are you sure" dialog pop up if there are unsaved changes.

Hmm, maybe.  But the Esc key is at a far extreme of the keyboard for a reason.

Wouldn't argue, but, you know, monkeys & Shakespeare.

In this particular case I wasn't actually trying to type anything, I dropped a pen that happened to hit that bit of the keyboard :-|

But, FWIW, I've done this once when VS wasn't full screen, and I didn't notice that it had focus, and a pressed ESC to dismiss a dialog in another app that I thought had focus, and once while I was actually typing, paused to look at something onscreen, my hand wandered enough that the next character I typed wasn't 1.

OK, well, points noted.  We'll give it some thought.

Hello again,

I believe we have dealt with the worst of this behaviour in V11.5.0, which has just been release.  Please let us know if you still have an issue with this.
