Title: Recording at Unusually High Speed
Post by: Gregg45y on July 18, 2019, 12:55:09 PM
I have successfully used Vinyl Studio to convert about 20 LPs to 24/96 digital.  I am using a Dell laptop running Windows 10 and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB interface.
The other day, I tried converting 2 additional LPs.   When I went to split the tracks, I found that each album side was only about 6 minutes in length.  While converting, Vinyl Studio was always running; the meters always engaged.
The strange thing is, when I played the tracks back in iTunes, the music was radically sped up.  I think a whole album side was squeezed into the 6 minute recording.
I have not changed any settings in Vinyl Studio or on my laptop.  My turntable is running at normal speed.
Any suggestions?

Hi,

Is the 'Speed conversion' box checked in the Record window?

No, it is unchecked.

UPDATE:  I changed USB cables and, for some reason, my last 2 conversions were successful.  So for now, I am good to go!
Thanks for responding.
