Title: Reordering tracks
Post by: jeffb on June 05, 2019, 04:13:19 PM
I have a 2-LP set. I recorded both LPs before I realized that the side sequence was for changers (1-4 and 2-3). I can fix the problem by cutting the audio for side 4 and pasting it at the end (after side 3). Is there a way to cut and paste audio in Vinyl Studio? I found a way to cut side 4 and splice the resulting gap -- which is the first part of what I need to do -- but I don't see a way to paste the cut bit at the end.

Hi,

You can drag the album sides around in the list of recorded files in the Record or Split Tracks windows.  That should let you fix this.

Does that procedure move the actual samples, or just the metadata for the track? It seemed to be the latter when I tried it.

It reorders the audio.

Please note that I am *not* suggesting dragging tracks around in the list of tracks.  That just reorders the metadata.
