Hi,
I have just purchased a new NAD PP3 with Vinyl Studio bundle and i'm experiencing the exact problem described by Hans here:
http://www.alpinesoft.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=65.0
The thing is that i showed this post to my NAD dealer and after he contacted NAD, i was told that all devices with serial number prefix above H88 are fixed and mine has a prefix of H96.
Despite the written above, my NAD dealer replaced the unit (to a new one but still with the same serial prefix H96) and the problem still occurs.
I have tried 2 PP3's, 2 PC's and 2 different phono's and still no good :(
Like in Hans scenario regular playback is fine, only when i try to record/check level i get this continuous high pitched noise, even before i lower the needle to touch the record!
Any clue? I feel that i've already tried everything.... :(
Thanks ahead,
Roy
Hi,
I'm sorry you're experiencing so much grief. I will forward your comments to NAD.
VinylStudio's Hiss filter can take out this noise. You might like to give that a try, but to be able to use this on anything other than a trial basis you will need to upgrade to a licensed version of VinylStudio. Under the circumstances, we are prepared to offer a discount on the usual price. If you want to follow up on this, please contact me direct:

Hi Paul,
Thank you for the help and generous offer, I still need to get some answers from my NAD dealer, and then i'll contact you personally.
