Title: Deleting Tracks/Cuts
Post by: etherijj on November 28, 2018, 03:08:18 AM
Been using VS for years - love it
I have been trying to delete tracks - unsuccessfully - after I have recorded them:
- I have clicked on the track in the upper track window, and hit "delete", and minus (-) but all that happens is a short amount of the track is removed in the waveform.
- it looks like it is just moving all of the track breaks in the waveform "back"/to the left  - so that the audio of the desired deleted track remains, it just becomes the length of the track to the right of it, and on down the line. . . I want to delete the whole track - including, obviously, the audio . . .

Is deleting full tracks/cuts only done in CleanUp: Cut and Splice?

Thx

Deleting tracks in the list does not affect the waveform display in any way.  If you want to omit a section of audio from your saved tracks then the best way is to manipulate the track break markers as demonstrated in our tutorial videos:
