I should preface my query by saying that I don't think the problem I am about to outline is related to Vinyl Studio, but I am hoping that one of the many knowledgeable members of this forum might be able to help.
I've used the Pro version of Vinyl Studio for about 18 months. I capture material from my Dual 505/2 turntable using a Rega Fono Mini converter. Having edited the recording in Vinyl Studio, I export it as FLAC to my WD My Cloud Home NAS. From there I play the recordings through my Denon home cinema receiver using the Plex app on my Roku 3 media box. For all the time I have been using Vinyl Studio this has worked smoothly and without difficulty. I also use the Plex apps on two different TVs and everything seems fine there too.
Lately I have recorded and exported a couple of dozen LPs using the above method. However, when I play back these recordings on my Roku device the sound reproduction level is extremely low. The same recordings sound absolutely fine on my computer, both while I am editing them and when playing them back from the WD NAS. Similarly they sound fine when played back on my other devices. The only problem seems to be with the Roku. A curious feature is that, while I have problems on my Roku with the recently captured material, all my earlier recordings (same system, FLAC recordings) still play perfectly well. I am baffled!
I believe there were some issues in 2025 with the Plex/Roku combo - have these been resolved? Even then, it doesn't entirely explain why my newer material is problematic while stuff recorded in autumn 2025 is fine.
Help! And thank you!
