I think I have found a situation where VS actually introduces clicks.
If you:
- Unzip the attached zip file,
- Open Defect001.mcf
- In the Cleanup Audio Tab, click on Scan Recording For Clicks with:
- Sensitivity of 3
- Percussion Protection of 3
And audible click is produced on the marker at 00:00.572

We have now looked into this and will include a fix in the next release. Thanks for bringing it up, the code was doing something a bit silly.
I'm glad it was a quality defect and not just me being silly.
For what its worth ClickRepair sometimes did a similar thing.

Those two tend to go together in my experience... ;D
By the way, I am experiencing similiar (perhaps same?) issue digitizing with Soundblaster Z SE.
