Title: VS crashing in Windows 10
Post by: bill524 on August 30, 2023, 10:19:27 PM
Been using VS years with a Audio Technica USB LP120XUSB turntable. Just started having issues with VS freezing during recording.  Closed VS in Task Manager, restarted. If I try to delete the side, I get "error 32 (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)"

Closed VS, then went into File Explorer to delete the WAV file and get this error: "File in use by VinylStudio".

Only workaround is to close everything, reboot the computer and then I can delete the WAV file. It's been happening on about every 6 or 7th record. Replaced the hard drive for a bad sector but it didn't solve the issue. Similar to issues others are having but the tech replies were private.

Thanks!

Hi,

Can you change the 'Host' setting in VinylStudio's Check Level dialog to WASAPI shared event driven please?  That usually resolves this.
