Is there an upgrade option from V6.20 to V7.1.0 and what are the improvements?
Hi,
Upgrading is currently free, so I guess the answer is yes. The improvements are:
Current Version: V7.1.0Since V7.01, we have made a number of improvements as follows:
- We have (at last!) added a normalisation facility. You will find this alongside the Graphic Equaliser. You can also normalise a selection of albums in 'batch' mode.
- You can now append to an existing track listing when looking up track listings across the Internet (suggested by Brian Leclair). We also no longer discard track times after a zero-length track.
- Added two 'turbo' settings to the declicker to deal with difficult material with a large high-frequency content such as modern jazz. These are very aggressive; use with caution!
- Added 'hotkeys' [ and ] to step between click repairs in the waveform display.
- Issue a warning if you try to add two sets of filters with identical ranges.
- The minimum fade-in / fade-out time is now 0.1 sec (was 1 sec).
- Improvements to the 'getting started' section in the help file.
V7.01V7.01 introduces the following changes:
- New, slinky, self-resizing toolbar beneath the waveform display
- Fixed a problem truncating large WAV files (sorry about that)
- Fixed an occasional freeze on Windows 7 when starting playback
- 'Truncate recording at cursor' is now much faster
- There is now a hotkey (`) to switch rapidly between the Split Tracks and Cleanup Audio windows.
- Made a few refinements to the track splitting functions
