Trying to decide when one song ends and another begin can be a big headache on live performances and classical music.

I've come across a few that might work .....
Song Kong, Jaikoz and AcousticBrainz. Interestingly, the first two are from the same company.

I want to do this without a microphone, so the software will have to look at the songs digital footprint. This would have to use a database with the songs footprints. I think that's what AcousticBrainz does for other software, but not sure.

Anyone aware of any software that can do this?

Sounds like a NEW FEATURE for Vinyl Studio. What say you Paul, sounds like an interesting new challenge.  8)

Interesting thought, I'll take a look.  Presumably, you're not able to find those albums in Discogs or Music Brainz so you have to do all the track splitting by hand.

I can still find the albums on Discogs, but that is never exactly right. It always requires manual adjustment.

Where I really have trouble with is when there is NO dead space between tracks. The music just blends from one song to the next. It's not obvious where the song should be divided. I've used Shazam on my phone a few times, but that requires pulling my headphone off some so that the phone can pickup the music.

Checking out this website if you haven't already.
