Title: Undo Behaviour In Cleanup Audio Is Unhelpful/Confusing/Surprising
Post by: Steve Crook on September 15, 2021, 08:46:53 PM
Version 12.02 Beta on Windows 10

Switched to cleanup audio.
Ran click repair
On side 1 I found a short section of quiet and did Filter Settings
Switched to side 2
On side 2 I found a short section of quiet and did Filter Settings

Did Ctrl-Z thinking I'd undo the filter settings for side 2 and found I'd undone the click repair.

This doesn't feel right to me as one would normally expect undo to undo the last thing that was done. But, if the last thing(s) weren't undoable? Should you undo the last undoable thing? Honestly I don't know.

So this is more FYI than bug report...

Hi,

Yes, there's no undo for Adjust Filter Settings.  Arguably there should be, although it's not clear what might constitute an 'undo unit'.  Obviously you don't want that to be every little tweak of a slider.  That's why it's not there, currently.  Will file for further thought.
