Title: change disk order after recording
Post by: vinylvark on July 18, 2021, 11:57:43 AM
I hope this is possible, but I cant see how if it is.

I recorded a triple album but accidentally skipped side 4. So I recorded what is side 5 which is now side 4 in Vinyl Studio. I will record the real side 4 as side 6 in the hopes I can change the order, otherwise I will have to reorder the track listing and correct after export.

Thanks for the help!

Hm i closed vinylstudio, renamed the files. Playing them the order is correct but the waveforms are wrong. Is there a way to regenerate them or something?

Thanks.

Hi,

The 'official' way to do it is to drag the files around in the list of recorded album sides in the Record or Split Tracks windows.  However, having renamed the files, you can regenerate the waveform display by right-clicking (or Ctrl+click, on the Mac) in the waveform display in the Split Tracks window and selecting Regenerate Waveform Display.
