Title: Cannot open file: error 13 (Permission denied)
Post by: madvinyl on March 24, 2020, 02:25:16 PM
I have a problem with my collection which I can no longer open. It started after i had saved some files worked on to mp3 but found I had no artwork so I deleted the files from where there were saved and uploaded the artwork then saved. It was after that I got this error message - Cannot open file:  error 13 (Permission denied)
Meaning I couldnt open the collection. I can create a new collection- fine but have have no way of moving the previous items recorded into the new collection.

Ideally it would be better if I could open the collection which currently says permission denied.

I am now using Vinyl Studio pro as upgraded today as I thought it might give me more options to move items to another collection.
running vinyl studio pro V11.0.7 mac64 bit on Mojave/mac mini

Hi,

You need to fix the permissions on the file named in the error message.  You can do this in the Finder by right-clicking (or Ctrl+click) on the file and selecting Get Info.
