I was wondering what additional use the Side Markers have (vertical dashed gray lines) other than to indicate where a needle up/down may have occurred. Are they actually just indicators where the recording was paused/stopped? Does the software use them to make any decisions or are they benign? I ask because I see instances where things I've done have caused extra Side Markers to appear (using Pause Record comes to mind). I couldn't find any detail in the manual other than that to remove them, the recording up to that point must be re-recorded. I've let them remain in the recording and have not experienced any issues from not eliminating them. Is there a reason to remove them?
As a VS Noob, I'm really enjoying VS's ease of use compared to the Audacity workflow I had used a decade ago. Great job Paul !!
They're just there for information - they don't actually do anything.
Thanks Paul !!
