OK, we're on the track of this now.  V14.0.4 (which might initially be a Beta) will fix all this.  Thanks for hanging on in there, guys, and sorry for the bugs.

Interesting idea, thank you.  We'll put it on the list.

Forget that, fixed it.  This will be fixed in V14.0.4.  We will be releasing this shortly, probably (initially) as a Beta.

General Discussion / Feature Request - Enable Marke...

This would be something like a toggle, with the default being off.

But when toggled on, the markers would make a quick beep sound whenever they are played over. The main idea would be that it would make it easier to align the marker with a scratch/click. Once you get the beep and click to overlap, you know you are in the right area and can start manually trying to fix a click.

Quote from: Paul Sanders (AlpineSoft) on March 08, 2024, 05:21:27 PMOK, well, what you do is:

1.  Go to the Cleanup Audio tab.

2.  Open the Filter Settings window.

3.  Click 'Advanced' if necessary, to open the 'Add Filters' section

4.  Add a filter set to cover the range of audio that you want to adjust.

5.  With that filter set selected, adjust the preamp sliders to suit

Told you it was clunky!  We can do better, I'll table it for consideration.

I started using this method to clean up the beginning, end and side flip areas. It does work very well once you figure out the sequence the buttons need to be pushed.

That's a possible, we'll table the idea, thank you.  Percentage <-> dB is a logarithmic scale

VinylStudio is probably 'helpfully' adjusting your track break markers after you look them up in the online database(s).  Solution: tell it not to via 'Reset all "Don't show this again" messages' in VinylStudio's Options menu.

You'll then get a popup next time round and you can restate your preference.

I believe this would be more useful in a post process during the saving of the individual song files.

Instead of a percentage of sound level? for recognizing when a track begins and ends, it would be much more intuitive to use a db scale. How does percentage equate to db in this instance? Instead of setting to, say, 1%, a setting of-45db or -50db would ensure a correct sound level to start or end without having to keep experimenting with a percentage that could change depending on the current sound level of your audio file. To me this is much simpler and much more intuitive.
